Alissa D'Gama, MD, PhD

Alissa completed her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology at Harvard College. She joined the lab in 2013 as an MD-PhD student in the Harvard Medical School/MIT Health Sciences and Technology Program. Her doctoral work focused on germline and somatic mutations in neurodevelopmental disorders. She received her PhD in Biological and Biomedical Sciences in 2016 and her MD in 2018. Alissa is currently a pediatrics resident in the Boston Combined Residency Program. Her primary research interests lie in understanding neurodevelopmental disorders and advancing neonatal diagnosis and treatment using genetics, genomics, and molecular and cellular biology.
